Emoji
A face with scared eyes and open mouth
Description
The TikTok [stun] emoji is a pale face with wide, frozen eyes and an open round mouth, looking like it just got hit with shocking news. It is less dramatic than [shock] but more intense than [surprised], landing right in the middle as "I cannot process this." Its frozen expression makes it feel like someone mid-realization rather than actively reacting. On TikTok, it shows up under plot twist storytimes, unexpected confessions, and videos where something unbelievable happens mid-clip. It also fits reactions to controversial takes and jaw-dropping fails. The neutral color keeps it flexible, so it fits both funny and serious contexts without being overly cartoonish or exaggerated.
Usage
Drop [stun] when a video leaves you frozen in disbelief, like you need a second to process what just happened. It fits plot-twist storytimes, scandal reveals, and "he did WHAT" moments. Try things like "I had to rewatch this twice [stun]" or "how is this even real [stun] [stun]". Creators use it in captions like "still recovering from this [stun]". Pair it with [shock] for stronger drama or with [speechless] for tired disbelief. Skip it on simple funny videos, since its frozen expression suggests a deeper "wait what" reaction that doesn't match casual comedy content well.
